part 696: D(RE)-Day
what did it feel like? find out in Fidelio
________________________________________________
I ran out of room, in the preceding entry of part 696, for a parallel excursion into knowing what the end of submarine patrol feels like (which was my answer to what riding the Ducati felt like).
In Beethoven’s only opera, Fidelio, there is a quite moving chorus of the prisoners as they emerge from who-knows-how-long deep within their dungeons.
I’ll bet they had many of the same sensations as I described in coming out of a submarine—though far more deliriously, to be sure.
So, what did the particulars of riding the Ducati feel like? That’s next in part 696.
Here, I’ll just say, “O welche Lust!” (Oh, such pleasure!)
Extra credit if you recognize who (collectively speaking) is on deck. Leave comment.

O welche Lust....
All right, knock it off and get back down below—on the double!
